The Domesday Book Extracts: About Us

Domesdayextracts.co.uk, a Brightmaster Ltd company, offers online offering online access to The Domesday Book extracts. The ancient pages were carefully digitised using a specialist scanner at the National Archives in London. Then, a team of academics translated the entire book into modern English and indexed the contents so that it could be easily searched and accessed by everybody. Our aim has also been to make this immensely important record of the country available to all and not just the academic. Go discover your area’s past!
